Congratulations to The Moody Bakers, Barnard Castle, who won 2 Silvers at this year's British Pie Awards - one for their Veal and Mushroom Pie made with veal from New Moor farm near Darlington and one for their Wye Valley Chicken Pie. Well done Dave!

Our free workshops and Meet the Producer events for local food producers and food-related businesses are organised by project partner, the South Durham Enterprise Agency, and an information pack from the recently held Workshop 1 on packaging, marketing, labelling and bar coding is now available from the Agency. Our e-newsletter is produced once a month to keep everyone informed about what we are doing and hope to do to promote and support the production, use and appreciation of locally grown or reared food in our area.
